A slightly awkward cake…
I had a request recently for a birthday cake. That’s simple I hear you say (well for some of you anyway). But oh no not this one. Firstly I was baking for a nine year old boy (ok fine so far) but he doesn’t like chocolate (still fine) and could we include his sixty six year old granny aswell..! Ah…now…where to start. I know my mum and my son are the stars in my life so I thought stars would be a good theme (and completely neutral on the gender/age issue). With a ring of stars around the base reading “Happy Birthday” and their respective names on top it went down a storm. Phew!
