This morning’s eggs…
I collected eggs this morning from my local farm and boy are the yolks a beautiful colour – really rich golden yellowy orange. Very happy hens make for good cakes. When I first started out I thought it would be great to keep chickens so that I could use their eggs for my own cakes but now realise that I would have had to keep quite a few to keep up with the demand for eggs! If anyone’s thinking of keeping hens do take a look at the Battery Hen Welfare Trust website first.
