What a difference a day makes…
Well not actually a day, more like a week but, oh my, I’ve managed to snatch back a couple of hours in the evenings! The children have been back at school now for a week and I am finally able to spend a larger chunk of the day baking brownies, cakes and cookies rather than just a couple of hours and then having to work ridiculously long hours into the night. I’ve even managed to catch a couple of episodes of The Great British Bake Off which is brilliant – I must say the contestants are amazing. Next week’s episode sees the team down in Cornwall making pastry so pasties will probably be on the menu? I’d be interested to know if Paul Hollywood has a recipe for brownies – he seems to be font of knowledge when it comes to all things baking. I can’t wait to see how Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood choose between such a fantastic group of contestants – my money’s on Ed but good luck to everyone. Amanda
